The Eiffel tower is the most well-known tourist attraction of Paris. Often tourists run around the 7th Arrondissement and can’t find the Eiffel Tower, but in fact it’s right around the corner from the Metro station.

The Eiffel Tower is easy to reach when you walk over the bridge Pont d´Iéna next to the Trocadero garden. This 330 meter Tower is named after it’s architect Alexandre Augusts Eiffel. A great tip for buying souvenirs is the Tower’s integrated post office were you can buy special stamps. As funny as it might sound there is a cinema there too. The deluxe Restaurant is called the Jules Verne and has its own lift. However for this Restaurant it is advisable to make reservations six to eight weeks in advance.

Today it is considered the symbol of the new image of the Louvre. The Louvre was in bad condition at the beginning of the eighties, however has been completely restructured. The monument stands unprotected from wind and weather which is unfortunate for tourists when joining the queue to buy a ticket. Visiting the Louvre Museum is a very popular thing to do for many Paris lovers particularly when it rains. The visitors are directed underground in different directions.
