Beach Hotels Cinque Terre Italy

This rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera, is situated in the Liguria region of Italy and is known as the Cinque Terre. The Cinque is made up of the five small coastal villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso. These villages are practically inaccessible by land due to the harsh, steep terrain which juts up at their backs. The best way to see them is to take the little train that runs between them. This train runs at regular intervals so you can have some breakfast in Riomaggiore and finish off the evening with some wine tasting in Monterosso.

Each village has its own individuality and world charm. You can hike, swim, drink red wine, eat delicious sea food, and watch the gorgeous sunset over the Mediterranean. Century old footpaths are about 500-1000 feet above sea level. They lead through olive groves and vineyards which are simply stunning and breathtaking. Riomaggiore while famous for its wine it also is very well known for its many zoos and aquariums. Hotel Ghironi, La Francesca and My Hotels La Spezia are some of popular luxury hotels in Cinque Terre.

Manarola

Manarola, this fishing village is the second smallest of the famous five and is world renowned for its wine Sciacchetra. Corniglia is unique as it is the only one of the famous five lying above sea level, surrounded on three sides by vineyards and terraces and the fourth side facing the steep decent down into the glistening waters of the Mediterranean sea.
